ROV PILOT TECHNICIAN
(ROV INTRODUCTORY COURSE & ROV PILOT TECHNICIAN)
COURSE OVERVIEW
ROVs are widely used in the oil and gas, and marine sectors to accomplish tasks in underwater environments that are often too deep or too dangerous for human divers. ROVs are nothing without their pilots. An ROV pilot technician handles the operation, maintenance, and repair of an ROV and its system.
SSROVER’s ROV Pilot Technician course is a comprehensive training program designed to cultivate skillful, competent, and market ready future ROV pilot technicians. The course is structured to blend theory with hands-on exercises, emphasizing practical training elements. It encompasses all the skills required by the industry and meets IMCA requirements.

COURSE OUTCOME
After attending this programme, participants will be able to perform the following:
- Recognize the key elements of Remotely Operated Vehicles and manage underwater ROV operations.
- Integrate and deploy Remotely Operated Vehicles while implementing the LEAN Concept in the offshore work ecosystem.
- Seamlessly work with online collaboration platforms and tools.
- Plan, execute, inspect, and improve the provision of offshore ROV operations.
As this is an introductory course which qualifies the successful participants to enter training as ROV Pilot/Technician Grade II (R04) or ROV Tooling Technician Grade II (R14), as set out in IMCA C005 Competence assurance and assessment: Remote System & ROV Division, refresher course are not considered necessary.
